Background to PAT Testing?
PAT Testing stands for Portable Appliance Testing. The purpose of PAT testing is to ensure that electrical equipment is in a safe condition for the public to use. It is a legal obligation to ensure all items within a commercial premise are PAT tested at least once a year. Our City & Guilds accredited course will ensure you are taught to the correct principles to be able to competently test all the electrical items you may encounter.
What is the course content?
the course covers in depth both theory and practical training. The lecturers at Atlantic have a wealth of experience in teaching and upto date with current practices as they still work in the industry.The course is run over two days to give the candidate time to learn and gain experience of practical testing and have enough time to study and revise for the city and Guilds exam.
Will I learn a Formal Qualification?
Our PAT Testing course is a nationally recognised qualification awarded by the internationally renown City and Guilds. The syllabus has been built around the IEE Code of Practice, and all candidates will need to pass the examination in order to be awarded with the formal certificate.
