This course has been developed due to demand from the so many different enquiries we have received at Atlantic. It gives the candidate the basic skills to enhance what experience they have already gained and use their existing skills to enter the electrical profession. It is suited to a wide range of individuals from builders, kitchen fitters to those who have been doing their own property renovations and developments. It is geared up to help the candidates get the right qualifications to join either the NICEIC or ELECSA Competent Persons Schemes. The course is a mixture of practical training and theory and taught by our experienced lecturers who are still practicing what they teach today.
The course includes the following qualifications on successful completion of the exams/assessments:
City and guilds 2393 (Building Regulations)
City and Guilds 2382-15 (Latest 17th Edition Wiring Regulations)
City and Guilds 2377-22/32 (PAT, Management and Testing)
City and Guilds 2392 (Fundamental Inspection and Testing)
OKA NICEIC Online assessment (operated by Certsure which is accepted by ELECSA and NICEIC.
A succesful candidate completing this course will still have to be assessed by the awarding body/scheme they decide to join and pass that schemes requirements, this is usually a office type visit (paperwork side of the business) and a visit to site to check the candidates quality of work and ability to Inspect and test and general knowledge of BS7671 and Building Regs.
